Since day one that I've learned of SHC's existence, it has conveyed the theme of family and service. This theme, rather mission, has been upheld and exemplified over the few short years I've been a dealer.

In today's fast-paced, instant gratification way of life, taking time for a simple, kind gesture as sending a sympathy card may be deemed archaic by some. Archaic in the sense of common basic etiquette as dressing appropriately for occasions as graduations, weddings, funerals, sending thank you cards/notes/flowers for gifts/support received and other proper "old school" teachings our parents instilled in us pre and post the most exceptional "green leisure suit" era.

Initially, receiving your card was unexpected yet greatly appreciated. I was rendered speechless (quite the feat) in a rare "stop and smell the roses" moment. I realized that even in this time of grief I had so much to be thankful for. Perspective check. Reflecting upon the dealings I've had with your company, I should not at all have been surprised receiving the card.

Family, devotion, service, support, Ingenuity, true concern, and heart is the much demonstrated way of life carried on by SHC. Many would say this used to be the norm of business, but it's still very much alive and thriving at SHC.

Natalie, your own stories of parents past, words of sympathy, compassion and encouragement were very helpful in this early stage of the healing process. Receiving the card was the icing, in the shape of those roses I stopped for, on the cake.
